You are saved by grace alone
If you can't be saved by your works, you can't lose your salvation because of your works either. Read that again.
When you get to heaven, the angel at the gate will ask you, “On what basis do you think you can enter in?” What will you say?
-Your large tithes
-Your uncut/undyed hair
-Your ears (or body) without piercings
-Your kasinki
-The number of children you had
-Your frequent mission trips
-Your ministry or title in church
-Your long dresses
-Your sobriety
-How frequently you attended church
-The blind obedience to your parents…
What about when the thief on the cross comes to heaven, and the angel at the gate asks him the same thing, “On what basis do you think you can enter in?” What should he say?…
“On the basis of the Man’s words who hung in the middle-“' Today you shall be with me in paradise.”
Dear Slavic Christian, don’t be fooled—YOU CANNOT BE SAVED BY YOUR WORKS. You can only be saved by GRACE THROUGH FAITH.
That is the only way you can lose your salvation, too—by REJECTING THE SAME LOVE THAT GAVE HIS LIFE ON YOUR BEHALF. PERIOD.
No matter what your legalistic parents, spouse, or pastors taught you, you cannot get to heaven because of what you do.
Our works are like filthy, bloody tampons in God’s holy presence. (Quite the visual, right)?
Only His Son’s precious blood gives us worth.
Only the pure blood of Jesus can wash us clean—nothing on this side of heaven will ever come close.
That said, stop living like you’re scared of going to hell because of your mistakes and shortcomings. On this side of heaven, we’re all falling short of the glory of God; that’s the whole point. That’s the only way that we would ever need a Savior. Let this sink in….
Start living like you're a redeemed child of the Lord! Start living as if nothing can ever separate you from the love of Jesus. Start living as if you are completely forgiven of all your sins, and that He holds nothing against you.
What would life look like if this were your new reality? What would life look like if you didn't live in fear, self-hatred, doubt, shame, and guilt? Can you imagine letting go of all the burdens that once held you back from his unconditional love? Can you imagine raising your children that same way so they wouldn't have to feel the same pain that you felt when you were stuck in this legalism?
The truth is, you'll never be freer than when you start living as if that's the case. But will you give yourself freedom to do so, as He has already done for you?
Today is the best day to start this new journey of having freedom in Christ. The Arms of Jesus are open wide to receive you and your family today by faith. Let nothing hold you back from living the best life in Him.
