  • Slavic, Christian, Jesus set you free!

Dear Slavic Christian, I’ve got some hope to share with you. What if I told you that as soon as you accepted Christ as your personal Savior and started living for Him you became a saint, you became a child of God?

Would you believe me? Or would you continue to live as the wretch, the sinner you were before you met Jesus?

I say this very confidently and very boldly because often times in our Slavic, Christian community, there is a belief that if you were a sinner, a drug addict, an abuser, or a perpetrator, that you will always stay this way.

What if that wasn’t true anymore? What if once you sought Jesus and you repented for your sins, you became a saint? At least that’s how God sees you. No matter where you’ve been, no matter what you’ve done, Jesus’s blood is enough for you.

But do you believe it? And do you receive this truth in Jesus’ name?

What would be standing in your way?

    Answer that question.

What stands in your way of believing that you are a child of God? That you are forgiven and free and you are a saint?

The honest truth is YOU. You are the only one standing in your own way from knowing freedom and living with HIm for all eternity. No matter what you’ve been through or have done in your life, the love is Christ is NEVER too far away from you.

Here’s the truth, once you come to Jesus, once you repent, He throws all your sins behind his back and never remembers them. What about you, do you forgive yourself or do you keep a record of your own wrongs and let them hold you back from living an abundant life in Him?

As long as you remember your past failures, flaws, and sins, as long as you listen to people who remember your sins for you, you will never be set free. Did you know that we insult God when we continue to believe the lies that the enemy sends? If He set us free and we continue to call ourselves “wretches,” we insult the power and love that has redeemed us. We tell GOd, “I don’t believe you, your love is not enough to change me.”

Dear one, set yourself free today.

Believe in the truth that God has already redeemed you. He has already set you free. Walk forward in that truth. In Jesus’ name, walk forward in the freedom of being a saint. You don’t have to stay stuck in the place of loneliness, self-destruction, depression, anxiety, fear, helplessness, hopelessness, and despair. Come to the Cross where your sins have already been paid for. Jesus is waiting for you with HIs arms open wide.

The question is, are you ready to? Are you ready to forgive yourself and let go and never identify as the sinner you used to be?

Whenever you’re ready, He’s ready to meet you there. Just call upon His name and you will receive that freedom in faith.
