Slavic Christian and tribulations
Dear Slavic Christian,
When you made Christ your Savior, you signed up to die.
Die to self, die to the desires of this world, die to people pleasing, and most importantly, when the time comes in the name of the One who gave His life up for you.
In modern day Christian theology, there’s a popular message, “God will take His church, the bride before tribulations come.”
This false teaching stemmed from John Darby and Cyrus Scofield, who were among the first to write a Bible commentary and interpret Scripture that way, making this popular among deceived Christians. These two men wanted people to think that living for Jesus will come with glory and riches instead of trials by fire.
Sadly, this teaching has plagued many churches, and now I hear arguments among believers about whether we’re “pre” or “post-trib.”
These petty arguments actually speak volumes. These “Christians” don’t want to give up their lives for Jesus. We want comfortable and lavish lives here and be transported to another realm that is just as comfortable.”
The problem with all of the above is that 21st century believers in America don’t know about the holiness of the God they serve and the sacrifices it takes to call oneself a “disciple or follower”-complete obedience to the point of the Cross, just like Christ demonstrated.
We think we can be gay Christians, sex-outside-of-marriage Christians, Sunday bench-warming Christians who smoke and drink…not a chance!
Only when you’re willing to die for The Name of Jesus can you actually start truly living for Him.
Scriptures say in John 15:20, “Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you…”
Philippians 3:10 says, “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death…”
Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Matthew 10:28 says, “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Romans 14:8 says, “For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.”
Dear ones, religious persecution is coming to America on a greater scale than we have ever experienced in this generation.
Will you sign up to die for your faith or will you renounce Him when it gets to that point?
Will you remain in your faith when the moment comes to look your persecutor in the eyes and say, “I will not renounce the Name of Jesus to live? I will die for Him because He prepared heaven for me to reign with Him forever if I stay faithful.”
