healthy Slavic Christian families look like the trinity
If your family is falling apart while you’re busy building other “more important” things, you've missed the whole point of life.
You missed the whole point of God’s Kingdom manifested on Earth.
You see, God represents the Father.
The Holy Spirit represents a mother.
Christ represents the son.
God loved us so much that He sent His son to die for us and reunite us with Him.
He gave everything up for his family to be together with him one day again in paradise.
Paradise was supposed to be on Earth in the Garden of Eden, but when Eve made the tragic mistake of thinking the Father’s love was not enough for her, that connection and relationship were broken.
It wasn’t until the faithful Son completely obeyed and submitted to the headship of the family system that order was restored. Now we have life and life more abundant in Him, for all eternity.
Dear one, I say all this because satan is trying to destroy the family unit because He wants to destroy God’s Kingdom. He’ll never succeed because God is greater than he’ll ever be, but the real question is, after everything God gave you, will your family make it to God’s Kingdom as a whole?
Does your family reflect God’s Kingdom with everyone being in their rightful role: husband, wife, and children in that order of authority?
Does the husband lead as God created Him to?
Does the mother love and comfort as the Holy Spirit was sent to?
Do the children obey and fulfill the Father’s will as Christ did?
As for me and my house, there’s nothing else we’re living for than this.
What about your family?
God doesn’t expect families to be perfect because He knows that on this side of heaven, its impossible, but he does want us to turn wholly to Him and seek Him together. What does that mean and look like? It means having one goal: to love Him and each other. How is that executed practically and daily? Simple, when you wake up in the morning, thank Him for giving you breath. Love your spouse and children with kisses and hugs, letting them know that “today is going to be a good day because Jesus made it so.” Engage with each other throughout the day and include God and your loved ones in your plans, whether that’s cooking and eating together, helping each other around the house, sharing responsibilities, and in all of it, thank glory to God for all that He’s given you: your house, food, health, vehicles (or two), clothes, protection, finances, etc.
It’s not difficult to do but it does require intentionality.
The same was for God when He decided to send His son down to earth.
It was the hardest decision He had to make: let His son die for sinners taht would still reject His love, but He did it anyway and thank God for it.
Because Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, we are able to give each other what he gave us: love, forgiveness, serving with humility, generosity, etc.
His example has the potential to tranbsofrm our families if we let Him.
