Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day to the mamas who are raising their best friends.

The mamas who are over-involved because they know what neglect feels like.

The ones who get pruned daily by the Lord through lessons from their children.

The ones who practice self-control because they know what abuse feels like.

The ones who are healing from their own childhood wounds as they receive love from their babies.

The ones who forgive their past and give their children what they didn’t receive.

The ones who have compassion for themselves and teach their children to do the same.

The ones who are learning how to love their bodies after it created life and changed in the process.

The ones who are holding what they once dreamed and prayed for.

The ones who come to Jesus daily and ask for help in raising children for the Kingdom.

The ones who intentionally connect with their children, even when they’re struggling, instead of checking out.

The ones who bless instead of curse as they experienced.

The ones who are positive role models to their children by having a healthy marriage.

The ones who take care of their bodies in the kitchen and gym so their children can do the same.

The ones who are healing their nervous systems and rise back up when overwhelmed by their children’s unexplained tears.

The ones who pray to get through the day because it’s the only thing they have strength left for.

The ones who celebrate their successes at the end of a long day, and the ones who feel guilty for all the areas they fell short.

The ones who feel lonely and the ones who are supported by a village.

The ones who take care of themselves, even when bath time is over or a meal has become cold. The ones who cry when they’re alone and the ones who have the courage to ask for help.

The ones who know they’re loved and the ones who are still craving it.

The ones who talk about emotions and express them with their kids, rather than repressing or exploding.

The ones that apologize to their kids because they, too, make mistakes.

The ones who show the love of Jesus through their actions instead of just empty words.

The ones who celebrate life instead of regretting or hating it.

Those waiting for a positive pregnancy test.

The ones who can’t wait to meet the miracle growing in their womb.

The ones who lost one, three, or five babies.

The ones who aren’t giving up on God’s promises of having a houseful of children.

The ones who call themselves daughters of the King first, mamas second, and women of God third.

You are expanding the Kingdom with every soul you are nurturing for His glory.

It’s the hardest thing you’ll ever do and also the most rewarding task you’ve been given—keep your eyes on Jesus.

The hearts of your children choosing to live for Jesus because of your example is worth the greatest treasure money can never buy
