Dear Slavic Christian have peace in the present chaos
Dear Slavic Christian,
Please keep your eyes on the One in the present political, spiritual, and financial chaos, allowing it all to unfold. Remember that He is still on the throne; it all must take place and get worse before His return.
Matthew 24:3-13 says,” As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, `I am the Christ,‘ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”
I’m speaking to myself first, then sharing the message of hope and peace with all who yearn for it.
First, we must not get carried away by the news. Not everything you see is true.
Second, take time away from social media and go into your quiet place, where He is waiting to connect with you. He wants to be your peace, hope, truth, protection, and provision- trust in Him alone.
But are you interested in putting your trust in a heavenly being, or do you not think that current world affairs will ever touch you?
The reason why I’m touching on this topic as a therapist is because many of my clients, present and in the past, live in fear of what is taking place. It is robbing them of sleep, peace, joy, and living in the present. They are so afraid of being stripped of their comfort that they want to control the circumstances instead of trusting God to care for them amid all the madness. The sad outcome is that some individuals I’ve come across have developed mental health disorders because of severe anxiety and depression [due to the impending doom].
As a believer, I will not sugarcoat this subject. Instead, I can help you develop practical skills to reduce your anxiety and instill feelings of hope instead of depression if you’re willing to learn about them in therapy.
It is essential to have these conversations as professionals because, as a therapist practicing from an Existential therapy perspective, I believe that life has meaning and that we were created for more than the present life we live.
What about you? Do you think that your life goes beyond this one to trust in Christ, who came to prepare you for eternal life and set the stage for present-day world affairs?
