I am a Christian therapist that immigrated from Ukraine to America when I was 3 years old. Growing up in a Slavic community revealed aspects of life that left a great impact. From family secrets, to trauma and stress-related illnesses, I realized that family dynamics and mental health play a significant role in one’s emotional and spiritual development and life’s choices.
My passion of loving people and helping families talk about their trans-generational pain began my career in 2019 when I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. That was when my professor also told me something I’ll never forget. He said, “Ilona, psychotherapy is more that listening and talking to people about their pain, it means Healing of the Soul.”
Ever since then, I’ve made it my goal to serve and educate as many individuals through therapy as I can. Men and women of various ages and backgrounds have been helped in areas such as processing through disturbing memories, developing emotional awareness, setting boundaries with loved one’s, experiencing a reduction of physical symptoms related to their past experiences, and healing from a history of physical and sexual trauma.
I help serve women and men of all cultural backgrounds. I am also passionate about serving individuals that grew up in the Slavic community and help them find their voice and identity while also also accepting their culture.
